Job summary

Capital One seeks a Sr. Manager Software Engineer to lead full-stack initiatives and a team of developers focused on distributed microservices. You will drive technology choices and partner with product managers to deliver compliant, cloud-based solutions.

You will work with Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, SQL and Python, applying AWS, Docker and Kubernetes in a high-velocity environment to empower millions of customers with secure financial services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 6+ years of software engineering experience.
• At least 1 year experience with cloud computing (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• 4+ years of people management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers with deep experience in distributed microservices and full-stack systems to create solutions meeting regulatory needs.
• Mentor other members of the engineering community and occasionally code or evaluate code.
• Collaborate with digital product managers and deliver robust cloud-based solutions for millions of users.
