Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Senior Manager, Software Engineering, Full Stack to lead a portfolio of distributed microservices and full stack initiatives that meet regulatory requirements for a large scale payments network.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with product managers, and drive cloud-based solutions using JavaScript, Java, TypeScript, SQL, Python, Go, Docker, Kubernetes and AWS. A Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of software engineering with 4+ years of people management are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• At least 6 years of software engineering experience.
• At least 1 year of cloud computing experience.
• At least 4 years of people management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers with deep experience in distributed microservices and full stack systems.
• Mentor engineering peers and participate in code evaluation as needed.
• Collaborate with product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions for a broad user base.
• Utilize JavaScript, Java, HTML/CSS, TypeScript, SQL, Python and Go with AWS, Docker and Kubernetes.
