Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Senior Manager in Software Engineering for the Global Payment Network. You will lead a portfolio of full stack, microservices-driven projects and mentor engineers to drive scalable cloud-based solutions for millions of customers.

You will collaborate with product managers and apply JavaScript, Java, TypeScript, SQL, Python, and Go, leveraging AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, and other cloud services to transform capabilities across the payments space.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
• 6+ years of software engineering experience.
• 1+ year of cloud computing experience (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• 4+ years of people management experience.
• 9+ years of experience in JavaScript, Java, TypeScript, SQL, Python, or Go.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers with deep experience in distributed microservices and full stack systems.
• Mentor other engineers and contribute to code reviews and architecture discussions.
