Job summary

AQUA Information Systems, Inc. is seeking a Lead Full Stack Developer with 8–10 years of experience in Insurance Tech to guide modernization of our core platform.

You will architect scalable backend systems with Spring Boot, build responsive frontends in React.js, and deploy to AWS, leading a 100% remote engineering team.

This role requires deep domain knowledge of insurance lifecycles and a track record turning complex rules into production-ready software.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of professional full-stack development experience, with Insurance/InsurTech/FinTech domain exposure.
• Deep expertise in Java and the Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Data).
• Production experience with React.js, React Hooks, and modern state management.
• Experience deploying microservices to AWS (ECS, EKS, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB).
• Strong understanding of insurance lifecycles (Quote-to-Card, policy lifecycle, billing, or claims processing).

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and deploy secure, high-performance web applications using React.js and Java/Spring Boot on AWS.
• Lead a 100% remote engineering team and mentor developers.
• Translate complex insurance rules into scalable, production-ready software.
• Define and enforce engineering best practices and CI/CD processes.
• Collaborate with Insurance Product Owners to align technical delivery with business goals.
