Job summary

Agility Partners is seeking a Senior Engineer to design, develop, and support scalable enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, and React. You will lead full-stack development, APIs, microservices, and modern UI interfaces while modernizing legacy systems within an Agile environment.

You will work on cloud-ready distributed architectures, collaborate with cross-functional teams, implement secure coding practices, and contribute to CI/CD processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience with enterprise application development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Strong experience developing RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL (Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server).
• Experience with Agile/Scrum software development environment.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized development.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support scalable enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, React, and modern open-system technologies.
• Lead the development of full-stack apps, including RESTful APIs, microservices, backend services, and responsive React UIs.
• Translate business and technical requirements into scalable, maintainable, and secure software solutions.
• Design and implement cloud-ready, distributed, service-oriented apps using modern architecture patterns.
• Develop high-quality Java applications using Spring Boot, Spring Framework, JPA/Hibernate, REST APIs, and related technologies.
• Build reusable React components and integrate front-end apps with backend APIs.
• Participate in architecture and design activities, evaluate tech choices and define development standards.
• Lead or contribute to modernization of legacy apps to open-system, API-driven microservices architectures.
• Develop unit, integration, and automated tests for quality and performance.
• Perform code reviews and mentor junior/mid-level engineers.
