Job summary

GDIT is seeking a Software Developer Principal for a fully remote role with East Coast core hours. The position requires 7+ years of Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, and AWS experience, including ECS/ECR, Docker, and cloud migrations.

You will contribute to backend services, microservices, and frontend layers using Angular 19+ in a fast-paced Agile environment. Strong communication with stakeholders, ownership of code changes, and a user-centric mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field.
• 7+ years of related experience.
• Experience with full stack development and cloud-native architectures.

Responsibilities

• Develop and modernize applications, including migration to cloud environments.
• Work in Agile/Scrum teams with 3-week sprints.
• Write clean, maintainable code with unit tests to ensure performance and reliability.
• Enforce unit testing and code coverage standards before commits/merges in GitLab.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software.
• Mentor teammates and share technical knowledge.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks.
• Create and execute test plans ensuring full coverage and traceability.
