Job summary

Cherry Bekaert is seeking a Development Lead to join our Development & Engineering team. This hybrid role can be based in any nationwide office location and combines hands-on software engineering with technical leadership.

You will guide frontend and backend development using React, Next.js, TypeScript, Python, and Flask, while mentoring engineers and delivering secure, high-quality solutions in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of professional software development with lead experience.
• Full-stack dev with React/Next.js/TypeScript/Python/Flask.
• Secure, production-ready code with API design knowledge.
• Experience with REST APIs and OpenAPI/Swagger.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain production-grade apps with React, Next.js, TypeScript, Python, and Flask.
• Lead sprint-level delivery, break down tasks, manage dependencies and risks.
• Drive quality through reviews, tests, docs, secure coding, and DoD adherence.
• Serve as technical resource to resolve blockers and evaluate tradeoffs.
• Collaborate with architects to elevate designs and decisions.
• Support CI/CD, automated testing, security requirements and releases.
• Mentor engineers through reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and drive continuous improvement.
