Job summary

Proofpoint is hiring a software engineer for the Threat Intelligence Services (TIS) platform. The role focuses on building and operating internal web applications, data integrations, automation, and a customer-facing CMS.

You will work with React, Node.js, Python, and AWS to deliver scalable threat-intelligence tooling. Ideal candidates have 2-5 years of production software experience, strong AWS skills, and a passion for cybersecurity.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Hands-on AWS administration EC2, Lambda, storage, networking.
• API development and integration experience; AWS API Gateway preferred.
• Front-end development with React and Node.js, ideally including Fuse.
• Proficiency in Python.
• SQL and relational database experience, preferably PostgreSQL.
• Ability to learn new systems and domains quickly and work independently across the full stack.

Responsibilities

• Administer and troubleshoot the team's AWS environment (EC2, Lambda, storage, networking).
• Design and build APIs and integrations with AWS API Gateway.
• Develop and deploy the web front-ends analysts use to generate and deliver intelligence (React / Node.js; Fuse).
• Maintain and develop enhancements to the headless CMS-based portal and its PostgreSQL/Elastic Search infrastructure.
• Write Python services (FastAPI) for data processing and automation.
• Model and query data across PostgreSQL and Elastic Search.
