Job summary

Proofpoint is hiring a software engineer to build and operate a threat-intelligence platform. You will own tools end to end, from AWS setup to APIs and front-end dashboards, enabling analysts to produce intelligence at scale.

You will work on data processing services, CMS-backed portals, and integrations with third-party feeds, using Python, React, and Node.js in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of professional software engineering experience with production systems.
• Hands-on AWS administration including EC2, Lambda, networking, and monitoring.
• API development and integration experience; AWS API Gateway preferred.
• Frontend work with React/Node.js and Fuse or similar.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL with PostgreSQL experience.

Responsibilities

• Administer and troubleshoot the team's AWS environment.
• Design and build APIs and integrations connecting internal platforms and external feeds.
• Develop and deploy web front-ends for analysts and dashboards.
• Maintain CMS-based threat intel portal and its DB infrastructure.
• Write Python services for data processing and automation.
• Collaborate with analysts to automate repetitive tasks.
