Job summary

Proofpoint in Minneapolis is hiring a software engineer for the Threat Intelligence Services team. You will build and operate a platform combining data, APIs, and a CMS to deliver intelligence products to customers.

You will own AWS operations, backend and frontend work with Python, React/Node.js, PostgreSQL, and Elastic Search, plus CI/CD and IaC. This role offers growth, a flexible environment, and collaboration with analysts.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Hands-on AWS administration including EC2, Lambda, storage, networking, monitoring.
• API development and integration experience; AWS API Gateway preferred.
• Frontend development with React and Node.js, ideally with Fuse.
• Proficiency in Python.
• SQL and PostgreSQL experience.
• Ability to learn new systems and work across full stack.

Responsibilities

• Administer and troubleshoot the team's AWS environment (EC2, Lambda, storage, networking, monitoring).
• Design and build APIs and integrations (AWS API Gateway).
• Develop and deploy web front-ends (React/Node.js; Fuse) with dashboards and reports.
• Maintain and enhance the headless CMS-based portal and its PostgreSQL/ElasticSearch backend.
• Write Python services (FastAPI) for data processing and automation.
• Model and query data across PostgreSQL and Elasticsearch.
• Collaborate with analysts to automate routine tasks.
• Ensure reliability, security, and well-documented code.
