Job summary

Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. is seeking a Principal Engineer, Full Stack Development to design, develop, and architect solutions that enhance mortgage servicing capabilities.

The role includes technical leadership across APIs and full stack development using React/Angular/Node with Python/Java services. You will apply secure development practices, mentor staff, and collaborate with UX and business teams.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
• 7+ years of software development experience.
• Experience with Python, .Net or Java/Spring, JavaScript.
• Experience with OAuth2, JWT, JWS, JWE, JWKS/certificates, signing and encryption.
• Experience with Open API Specifications 3.0 (OAS or Swagger)
• Experience with OpenShift container platform and developing microservices.
• Experience with API documentation tools such as Swagger and Postman.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, TFS, Jira or Git.
• Experience with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering staff in development, testing, and implementation processes.
• Designs and develops APIs for front-end functionality and partner consumption.
• Develops full-stack solutions including migrations and new features.
• Builds front-end apps with React/Angular/Node; ensures responsive UX.
• Develops back-end services with Python and Java (Spring Boot).
• Mentors less experienced engineers and guides best practices.
• Produces technical specifications and test protocols (unit, component, scenario).
• Ensures secure coding, testing, and deployment; writes documentation.
• Keeps up-to-date with industry web development standards.
