Scribe, based in San Francisco, is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for the Adopt Engineering team. You will own full-stack features end-to-end, from design to production, and ship scalable Python backend services that power key product surfaces.

You’ll collaborate with PMs and designers to balance scope and speed, improve system health, and set technical direction. This hybrid SF role includes equity and strong benefits.

• Shipped full-stack features end-to-end from design through production.
• Backend code in Python; comfortable across the stack.
• Think like a product person: assess impact and tradeoffs.

Responsibilities

• Ship full-stack features end to end on new product surfaces, owning them from design through production.
• Build the Python backend services that power those features and keep them reliable at scale.
• Make product calls with PM and design, deciding what to build and where to cut scope.
• Maintain health of existing systems as the product grows, with reliability work.
• Set technical direction on projects, including architecture and sequencing.
• Raise engineering bar through code reviews and design feedback.
