Job summary

Scribe is seeking a senior software engineer for the Adopt team to build and ship full-stack features on new product surfaces at scale. You’ll own features from idea through production, raising the bar for the team and collaborating with PM/design to ship quickly.

You’ll develop Python backend services, work across the stack, and help shape technical direction while keeping existing systems healthy at a high growth pace.

Qualifications

• Shipped full-stack features end to end from problem definition through production.
• Strong backend coding in Python, comfortable across the stack.
• You think like a product person: assess impact and tradeoffs for speed to ship.
• You have contributed to raising the technical bar through architecture or mentoring.

Responsibilities

• Ship full-stack features end to end on new product surfaces, owning them from design through production and the metrics they move.
• Build the Python backend services powering those features and keep them reliable at scale.
• Collaborate with PM and design to decide what to build and manage scope for quick delivery.
• Maintain existing systems and protect team velocity with reliability work.
• Set technical direction on projects, incl. architecture and sequencing of work.
• Raise the engineering bar through code reviews and design feedback.
