Job summary

Humana is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build frontend applications for care teams and patients using TypeScript, React, and Next.js. You will own end-to-end features and contribute to design systems while delivering accessible, HIPAA-compliant interfaces.

You will translate AI outputs into intuitive UI patterns, collaborate with product and design teams, and ensure high quality user experiences across server-rendered and client-driven components in a remote US setting.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of frontend-focused software engineering experience.
• Expert-level proficiency in TypeScript and React.
• Hands-on experience with Next.js, including App Router, SSR/SSG patterns, and server components.
• Ability to build and consume REST or GraphQL APIs and deliver full-stack features independently.
• Strong eye for UX quality and attention to detail in interface implementation.
• Familiarity with WCAG accessibility standards and their practical application.
• Understanding of sensitive data handling requirements in frontend contexts.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools and LLM coding harnesses.

Responsibilities
