Job summary

Carrum Health is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to shape the design, development, and optimization of our web and mobile applications. You will work primarily with Ruby on Rails in a service-oriented architecture, supporting scalable APIs and services, and collaborate with React and React Native frontends.

You will drive architecture and performance improvements, mentor engineers, and coordinate with Data and DevOps teams on AWS deployments, monitoring, and reliability.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of full-stack software development in a multi-service ecosystem.
• Production experience with Ruby on Rails, React, and Docker.
• Strong PostgreSQL and NoSQL data modeling experience.
• Experience building on AWS services (ECS, RDS, S3).
• Leadership through code reviews and system design sessions.
• Excellent communication to align across teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and optimization of web and mobile apps built with RoR, React, and React Native.
• Drive architecture/performance improvements via code reviews and design sessions.
• Collaborate with Data teams to design scalable data models and with DevOps for AWS deployment.
• Work with product teams to set timelines and guide technical directions, ensuring quality and velocity.
