Job summary

Horizon3 is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to own meaningful product work end-to-end across backend and frontend systems. You’ll collaborate with Product, Design, and peers to deliver customer-facing outcomes in a remote environment.

The role emphasizes 80% backend work and 20% frontend work, requiring strong execution, risk awareness, and the ability to mentor others while improving engineering quality and product experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience building backend services in Python, Go, Java, or TypeScript.
• Experience building frontend apps with React or Angular.
• Experience with SQL databases in production.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and Docker.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship backend services, APIs, and modern web interfaces.
• Own end-to-end projects from scope to rollout.
• Implement user-facing experiences that are clear, maintainable, and performant.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and other engineering teams on cross-functional initiatives.
• Identify and resolve risks, blockers, and mis-scoped work early.
• Communicate tradeoffs and technical decisions clearly to stakeholders.
• Contribute to architecture discussions for maintainability and operability.
• Write high-quality code, tests, and documentation; provide strong code reviews.
• Mentor junior engineers and support day-to-day collaboration.
• Drive ownership and continuous improvement across the product.
