Job summary

StackAdapt, a Remote First technology company, seeks a Staff Engineer to lead the Planning team's data-driven planning experience and scalable web APIs. You will mentor engineers, drive architecture, and collaborate with Data Science, Product & Design to deliver high-impact end-to-end solutions.

You'll bring 6+ years of building highly performant web applications, deep coverage in React, Typescript, GraphQL, Ruby on Rails, and Go, and a track record of test-driven development and modernization

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience building highly performant web applications with strong UX.
• Proficient in React, Typescript, GraphQL, Ruby on Rails, and Go.
• Extensive experience with test-driven development in core full-stack tech.
• Experience collaborating closely with Product & Design on end-to-end product experiences.
• Experience with relational databases and optimizing web app performance.
• Experience leading large-scale modernization efforts of legacy systems.
• Ability to simplify complex problems and drive pragmatic solutions.

Responsibilities

• Advise on pragmatic technical approaches to problems to promote engineering excellence and developer happiness.
• Structure coherent, iterative plans toward delivering effective solutions for the planning surface.
• Architect scalable web APIs, component libraries, and backend systems aligning with roadmap goals.
• Collaborate with Data Science, Product & Design and senior engineers to solve cross-team challenges.
• Mentor the team and lead by example in software development best practices and code reviews.
• Identify bottlenecks and system-wide performance issues and propose actionable fixes.
• Contribute as a significant individual contributor delivering high-impact projects for customers.
