Job summary

Autodesk, a leader in design software, seeks a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to join the Fusion Operations team in Portugal. You will design and deliver scalable, real-time web applications spanning the full stack, collaborating with product, design, and engineering to ship high-impact features used by customers globally.

You will have 5+ years of experience, strong Java and frontend skills, and cloud experience with AWS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• +5 years of experience building and delivering scalable web applications.
• Strong proficiency in Java and its ecosystem; frontend technologies like JavaScript, HTML, CSS.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and MVC architecture.
• Hands-on experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms; Docker and containerized environments.
• Experience with relational databases (MySQL or equivalent).
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, testing, and maintenance of real-time, business-critical applications.
• Build clean, secure, scalable, and maintainable full-stack solutions.
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality features.
• Review code, provide constructive feedback, and drive engineering best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues with effective debugging techniques.
• Develop and maintain automated tests to improve code quality and coverage.
• Leverage AWS services (e.g., S3, SQS, RDS) to build scalable cloud solutions.
• Contribute to system reliability and performance through monitoring and improvements.
• Mentor junior engineers and support their technical growth.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to support production systems.
