Job summary

Autodesk, a leader in design software, seeks a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to join the Fusion Operations team in Portugal. You will design and deliver scalable, real-time web applications spanning the full stack, collaborating with product, design, and engineering to ship high-impact features used by customers globally.

You will have 5+ years of experience, strong Java and frontend skills, and cloud experience with AWS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• +5 years of experience building and delivering scalable web applications.
• Strong proficiency in Java and its ecosystem; frontend technologies like JavaScript, HTML, CSS.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and MVC architecture.
• Hands-on experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms; Docker and containerized environments.
• Experience with relational databases (MySQL or equivalent).
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, testing, and maintenance of real-time, business-critical applications.
• Build clean, secure, scalable, and maintainable full-stack solutions.

• Mentor junior engineers and support their technical growth.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to support production systems.

Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer - Fusion Operations

Location: Portugal (Hybrid/Remote options available)

Position Overview

Autodesk is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to join our Fusion Operations team in Portugal.

Fusion Operations is a cloud-based Manufacturing Execution System (MES) that provides real-time visibility into production processes—from raw materials to final delivery. It enables manufacturers to optimize scheduling, track inventory, monitor operations, and ensure product quality and compliance.

We're looking for an engineer who is passionate about building scalable, real-world solutions and has strong experience across the full web application stack. You will play a key role in designing and delivering reliable, high-impact features used by customers globally.

Minimum Qualifications

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
• Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in dynamic environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant field
• Experience with Java frameworks such as Spring or Play

Experience with modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js)

Experience with Elasticsearch or similar search technologies

Experience with test automation tools (JUnit, Selenium, etc.)

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins)

Knowledge of build tools (Maven, Gradle, Ant)

Understanding of event-driven architectures
