Job summary

Aequilibrium Software Inc. is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to join our Canada-based remote team for a six-month contract starting in October 2026.

You will contribute across frontend and backend, building cloud-native components and REST APIs within an Agile delivery environment. Ideal candidates have strong TypeScript and React experience, Python backend capabilities, and familiarity with CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong hands-on experience across frontend and backend development with modern web technologies.
• Proficient in TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks like React; backend in Python or similar server-side tech.
• Experience designing, developing, and integrating REST APIs and relational databases.
• Experience building cloud-native applications and working with cloud platforms (GCP preferred; AWS/Azure transferable).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerized deployments (Docker/Kubernetes), and event-driven architectures.
• Strong automated testing, version control, code reviews, and maintainable design practices.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an Agile delivery environment.
• Experience working with clients/stakeholders in professional services is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhance frontend apps and backend services.
• Develop and integrate REST APIs and database-driven services.
• Build and maintain cloud-native components.
• Contribute to event-driven services and scheduled/background processing.
• Develop automated unit and integration tests and maintain high-quality software.
• Work with CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployments.
• Troubleshoot issues and provide deployment/production support.
• Collaborate with developers, product stakeholders, and Agile delivery teams.
• Quickly understand and contribute to an established architecture and codebase.
