Cohere is seeking a senior generalist to join North, our AI workspace platform. You will move across backend and frontend to own features end-to-end, from API design to frontend interfaces, while maintaining high security and reliability.

• Have shipped fullstack code (Python and React) in production.
• You excel in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities.
• You have strong coding abilities across the stack.
• You have built deployable, performant client- or server-side RAG/agentic apps for millions of users.
• You think like a product owner and ask what to build before how to build it.
• You push for great UX and are willing to push back on designs that don’t serve the user.
• You’ve owned features end-to-end from problem understanding to shipping and impact.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, test, and ship fullstack features across the roadmap.
• Own features end-to-end from design through launch and iteration.
• Write minimal code suitable for low-resource environments with strict deployment rules.
• Collaborate with Product, UX, and modeling teams to validate requirements quickly.
• Raise engineering standards: patterns, testing, code reviews, and mentoring.
• You will use AI actively in your work while ensuring quality and reliability.
