Job summary

EarthOptics seeks a Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack) to design, build, and maintain full-stack apps, spanning frontend, backend, APIs, and data integrations. You will own cloud-based systems, CI/CD pipelines, observability, security, and production operations.

You will lead with architectural decisions, code reviews, and collaboration with Product and engineering teams, exploring AI-powered enhancements while ensuring security and maintainability.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong full-stack experience across frontend, backend, and APIs.
• Hands-on cloud infrastructure design, deployment, and operations.
• Proficiency in frontend and backend languages and rapid learning of new tech.
• Experience with relational databases, SQL, REST APIs, and integration patterns.
• Infrastructure-as-code, containers, and modern deployment (Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong engineering practices: testing, reviews, observability, security, incident response.
• Experience making architectural decisions and mentoring others.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and evaluating generated code.
• Excellent problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration.
• Bachelor's in CS/Engineering or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end design, development, deployment, and maintenance of full-stack applications.
• Design and maintain scalable cloud-based systems, including CI/CD, observability, and security.
• Take technical ownership of existing apps, addressing risks and debt for long-term maintainability.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership through architecture, code reviews, and mentorship.
• Evaluate and integrate AI-powered solutions across workflows and products.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and customers to translate needs into solutions.
