Job summary

TechTree is hiring a Senior Full Stack Engineer (Back-End) to own the backend of our AI agent runtime in San Francisco. You’ll ship end-to-end backend features, from the agent runtime to APIs and UI, and scale to handle real-time workloads at high volume.

The role emphasizes backend systems, real-time services, and distributed architecture, with on-site work in San Francisco. Excellent compensation includes equity and strong health benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building and operating backend systems in production
• Fluent in TypeScript; backend-focused with cross-stack comfort
• Built real-time systems (WebSockets, SSE, event streaming, or message queues) in production
• Distributed systems with strong opinions on consistency tradeoffs

Responsibilities

• Build and operate the sandbox infrastructure where agents execute code
• Design the deployment/migration pipeline for a Cloudflare Workers + Fly.io architecture, including blue-green rollouts
• Instrument real-time workloads: SSE streaming, task queues, multi-model LLM provider routing
• Ship new backend capabilities — tool integrations, scheduled tasks, memory indexing
