Justjoin is seeking a highly skilled Full-Stack Engineer to join a growing team supporting a leading U.S. education technology company.

You will design and build scalable backend and frontend solutions using modern JavaScript/TypeScript technologies, working across a cloud-native architecture with cross-functional teams. The role emphasizes ownership, high code quality, observability, testing, and CI/CD practices, with opportunities to influence architecture and contribute to products used by

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent degree.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of experience with NodeJS server-side development.
• 2+ years' experience with a modern frontend framework (e.g. React).
• Experience with Typescript.
• Experience with database technologies (ideally NoSql DBs and MongoDB).
• Experience with using and integrating the latest AI coding technologies: e.g. LLMs, Model Context Protocol, Claude Code, Github Copilot.
• Strong problem-solving ability and experience working within complex systems and large code bases.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, and ability to work in a self-driven way.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable, high-performance solutions using JavaScript / TypeScript.
• Lead technical decisions in Node.js backend development and modern frontend frameworks (e.g. React).
• Identify and resolve performance, scalability, reliability, and security issues across complex systems.
• Participate in and drive code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical improvements.
• Improve system observability, monitoring, logging, and error handling.
• Ensure high code quality through testing, documentation, and CI/CD practices.
