Job summary

TEK Systems is seeking a Senior Software Developer to design, build, deploy, and maintain modern full‑stack applications using React on the front end and Node.js on the back end. The role emphasizes secure, scalable, cloud‑native solutions on AWS with serverless patterns such as API Gateway and Lambda.

Senior engineers own features end‑to‑end, contribute to architecture, mentor others, and drive engineering practices like automated testing, CI/CD, security, and observability to ensure production

Qualifications

• Typically 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Cloud/DevOps certifications are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, test, and maintain production-grade full-stack software (React UI + Node.js services).
• Contribute across the full software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, estimation, development, automated testing, CI/CD deployment, and production support.
• Actively participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical decision-making.
• Build and maintain reliable, secure, and performant applications on AWS, including REST/JSON API integrations.
• Implement operability and observability practices (logging, metrics, monitoring) using CloudWatch.
• Collaborate closely with product owners, architects, DevOps, and other engineers to deliver complete solutions.
• Mentor junior and mid‑level developers through code reviews and guidance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices, including automation and testing.
