Job summary

Qualifications

• 3+ years of backend development with Python and FastAPI.
• Hands-on frontend development with React and TypeScript.
• Expertise in system design across microservices, database modeling, and API design.
• Track record of leading refactoring on critical, high-stakes systems.
• Strong skills in REST API development, including Kafka-based integration.
• Background in containerization with Docker and Ubuntu-based images.
• Proven ability to deploy and operate applications on Kubernetes clusters.
• Practical knowledge of test automation, spanning unit tests and manual integration testing.
• History of agile delivery on complex applications.
• Collaborative communication with code reviews and peer learning.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end features across backend services and frontend web applications.
• Build and maintain REST APIs using Python and FastAPI to support reference data workflows.
• Implement responsive UI components with React and TypeScript aligned with product needs.
• Architect microservices, data models, and API contracts for resiliency and auditability.
• Deploy and operate containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Integrate event-driven workflows with Kafka where appropriate.
• Lead refactoring and redesign initiatives to improve performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Write and maintain robust automated unit tests and execute manual integration tests.
• Collaborate with teammates through code reviews, pair troubleshooting, and knowledge sharing.
• Plan and deliver work in an agile environment for complex, high-stakes systems.
