Job summary

H-E-B Digital Technology is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to deliver complex code solutions and support build/deploy pipelines. You will influence system design, security, and scalability while maintaining high-quality customer-focused delivery.

The role emphasizes ownership, collaboration across teams, and mentorship, with an on-call capability and a commitment to reliable, scalable software. This is a hands-on, leadership-oriented engineering position.

Qualifications

• Computer Science degree or equivalent training.
• 10+ years of experience in software development.
• Experience with Python and Angular or React.
• Experience with AWS (preferred) or other cloud environments.
• Experience building Tooling and Infrastructure for engineers is nice to have.
• Advanced knowledge of system and data architecture, data modeling, and design patterns.
• Review platform designs for performance, sustainability and incremental development.

Responsibilities

• Writes production-ready code and tests meeting acceptance criteria and edge cases.
• Creates, configures, and supports build and deployment pipelines.
• Leads others in coding, configuration, testing and debugging existing or new systems.
• Leads production support or on-call and troubleshoots highly complex issues.
• Mentors team members and fosters knowledge sharing.
