Job summary

Omniscius is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Developer in Maryland to lead a small team sustaining an Enterprise Support Services application.

You will translate customer needs into technical requirements, collaborate with stakeholders, and deliver scalable, secure software using Django/FastAPI/Flask on the back end and React.js or Vue.js on the front end.

Responsibilities include API integration with RESTful services, CI/CD, Docker on Linux, unit testing, and mentoring the team in Agile practices.

Qualifications

• TS/SCI with Polygraph
• A bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and twelve (12) years of experience in software development/engineering. Sixteen (16) years of experience in software development/engineering may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
• Working knowledge of JavaScript and modern front‑end frameworks, specifically React.js and Vue.js.
• Experience with REST API.
• Experience with modern Python full‑stack development, utilizing Python web frameworks (such as Django, FASTAPI, or Flask) paired with modern front‑end frameworks (React.js or Vue.js) and RESTful API integrations.
• Unit testing experience.
• Git/Gitlab experience with CI/CD.
• Experience with Docker.
• Working knowledge of Linux.
• Working knowledge of Agile software development processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small development team to sustain and enhance a mission-critical Enterprise Support Services application.
• Translate customer needs into actionable technical requirements and solutions.
• Engage with customers and stakeholders to align on technical approaches.
• Build intuitive, responsive web interfaces backed by data retrieval and storage capabilities.
• Integrate backend services through RESTful APIs and ensure seamless data flow.
• Leverage full-stack development across Python back-end and modern JavaScript front-end architectures.
• Collaborate within Git/GitLab workflows and contribute to CI/CD pipelines.
• Provide technical leadership and foster ownership and learning within the team.
