Job summary

Pinwheel is hiring a senior full-stack Product Engineer to join our Product Engineering team. You will build public APIs, embedded SDKs, and customer dashboards used by thousands of users.

We operate in a lean, fast-paced environment and collaborate closely with Product to deliver high-value features. The role is hybrid with 3 days/week in our NYC office, and visa sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building and maintaining full-stack applications with API design.
• Prior startup or small tech company experience.
• Expertise with modern back-end languages/frameworks (e.g. FastAPI, Django, Rails, Gin).
• Expertise with modern frontend frameworks (React, Vue).
• Worked across multiple teams and engineers to deliver results.
• Customer-facing work and responsible AI usage in solutions.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer needs and design scalable data models and services.
• Build and evolve APIs and back-end services powering Pinwheel's platforms.
• Ship new product functionality and improve existing features.
• Maintain and improve Python-based microservice stack.
• Develop tooling and engineering standards; mentor teammates.
