Job summary

Checkbook is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to design, build, and scale its payments platform. You will work on databases, backend services, APIs, and user interfaces using Python, Postgres, and modern frontend frameworks. You will own projects from architecture through launch.

You'll develop robust web applications, ship APIs, and ensure security and performance. The role emphasizes scalable DB design, automation, and staying current with industry trends, in a fintech environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience with Python, PostgreSQL and frontend frameworks (React/Angular/Vue/Ember) to build robust web applications.
• Familiarity with Python web frameworks including Flask, FastAPI and Django.
• Ability to translate business requirements into effective software solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• A fintech background is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities
