Job summary

Flock Freight is seeking a motivated full stack developer to join the Product Engineering Team. You will design, build, and deploy web/mobile solutions used by thousands of customers, shaping architecture and best practices.

You will mentor peers, own features end-to-end, and participate in on-call rotations. Expect collaboration with cross-functional teams and a strong emphasis on scalable, maintainable code in a hybrid San Diego region setting.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of software engineering experience, building production web apps.
• Experience with Java back-end and Spring Boot.
• Proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, and React for web apps.
• Strong data modeling, relational databases, and SQL.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and maintain web applications using Java, React, and TypeScript.
• Develop APIs using RESTful and gRPC for performance and scalability.
• Own features beyond initial release, including monitoring and production improvements.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to implement new features.
