General Motors LLC is seeking a senior software engineer to design, build, and safeguard quality applications for the PVSQ IT organization. You may focus on backend Java microservices or front-end Next.js/React features, with Databricks workflows for regulatory reporting and a scalable data model.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 7+ years building and shipping production software.
• Full-stack capability: UI (Next.js/React/TypeScript) to a Java service and data layer.
• Experience with RESTful and GraphQL APIs, including versioning and API security.
• Relational databases (PostgreSQL or Oracle) with ORM (Hibernate/JPA) and Liquibase.
• Databricks data-lakehouse and data models for analytics/reporting.
• Azure deployment: containers (Docker), Kubernetes, and container registries.
• Git and GitHub Actions CI/CD workflows.
• Terraform for infrastructure provisioning.
• SDLC knowledge with Agile/Scrum and strong communication.

Aufgaben

• Design and maintain back-end microservices in Java (Quarkus or Spring Boot) with REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Build front-end features in a Next.js / React portal using TypeScript.
• Develop and support Databricks data workflows that feed regulatory reporting and dashboards.
• Evolve relational schemas with Liquibase changesets.
• Produce clean, well-documented, testable code aligned with standards.
• Conduct code reviews and write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests (TestNG, Selenium).
• Diagnose and resolve issues across services, portal, and data pipelines (observability).
• Work in the CI/CD pipeline (GitHub Actions) to keep main releasable.
• Translate requirements into executable development work with stakeholders.
• Lead software design for scalability and reusability across the stack.
