Job summary

Worldpay is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer (Java, Angular) to join its global payments team. You will own both backend REST services in Java/Spring and frontend development with HTML/CSS/JavaScript, including modern frameworks such as Angular/React/Vue.

You’ll collaborate across IT and business, follow Agile/Scrum, and contribute to CI/CD, testing and UX improvements. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years building REST web services with Java/Spring framework.
• 8+ years front-end development with HTML/CSS/JavaScript.
• 8+ years with modern JS libraries (AngularJS/ReactJS/VueJS/Bootstrap).
• Experience with SOAP/REST services using Java/Spring Boot.
• Proficient in Agile/Scrum practices.
• Strong Git/GitHub and DevOps tooling experience (Jenkins, Nexus).
• Advanced SQL skills with DB2/Oracle/SQL Server.
• Experience with Kafka and event-driven systems.
• CI/CD, TDD/BDD, DevOps experience.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Code, test and analyze application software; support existing products.
• Conduct usability testing and gather real-world user input.
• Collaborate with business and IT to discuss UI requirements.
• Use responsive web design to support multiple devices.
• Develop UI aesthetics from layout, colors and fonts.
• Stay current with UI/UX and HCI trends.
• Create UI wireframes, storyboards and flow charts.
• Apply SEO principles to create search-friendly interfaces.
• Work with Development and QA to improve usability.
• Adhere to SDLC, coding standards and best practices.
• Troubleshoot production products; participate in overnight releases as needed.
• Automate processes and write maintainable, testable code.
