Job summary

Linus Health in the United States is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer I to design, develop, and deliver complex software systems. You will combine front-end expertise with backend API design to build secure, scalable solutions and mentor engineers.

You will lead by example, perform code reviews, and shape API/database design while driving AI-assisted code generation with a focus on performance, observability, and reliability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with significant expertise in React framework and Node.
• 3+ years building restful services including database design in Node.
• Strong grasp of modern JavaScript/TypeScript tooling and ecosystems (Webpack, Vite, Babel, ESLint, Jest, Cypress/Playwright).
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development workflows, and proven ability to accelerate development workflows through practical application.
• Proficiency in frontend performance optimization (bundle splitting, lazy loading, caching strategies, rendering patterns).
• Strong communication skills—able to drive consensus, document decisions (ADRs, RFCs), and present tradeoffs clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Build full stack applications upon restful services, ensuring performant, scalable solutions.
• Lead by example with hands-on coding, code reviews, and long-term design considerations.
• Advance AI-assisted usage by championing best practices for AI-assisted code generation with security and reliability.
• Uphold best practices for testing, CI/CD, code quality, and observability.
• Collaborate with engineers across projects with strong written and verbal communication.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to translate requirements into maintainable solutions that meet customer needs.
