Job summary

Guardian Life Insurance Company is seeking a seasoned Full Stack Developer for a hybrid role based in the Northeast region. You will design, develop, and test features for a business-critical website, collaborating with product owners and security teams while following SAFe agile practices.

The role requires strong Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, React, TypeScript skills, and experience with REST/GraphQL APIs, SQL databases, and AWS.

Qualifications

• Six or more years of full stack technology experience in J2EE and front end technologies.
• Proficiency with Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, React, Node.js, Next JS, Nest JS, TypeScript, and micro-frontends.
• Experience with REST APIs, GraphQL, SQL, Oracle, and DB2.
• Familiarity with Apache Tomcat, AWS, and micro-services.
• Strong release/build/configuration management practices.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Insurance domain experience is a plus.
• BA/BS in CS or related field or equivalent.
• Willing to reside in NY/NJ/PA.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and unit test features for a business critical website.

• Work with product owners to decompose features.
• Align with project governance requirements.
• Participate in SAFe agile team with developers, QA, business users, and external partners.
• Maintain existing software and documentation.
