Job summary

Bessemer Trust in Port Reading, New Jersey, is seeking an experienced Software Engineering Lead to architect, build, and maintain scalable, secure enterprise applications. As a hands-on leader, you will guide front-end and back-end teams, integrate external APIs, and drive CI/CD with security-first practices while collaborating with stakeholders.

The role emphasizes mentoring, design reviews, production support, and delivering reliable software using C#/.NET, React, TypeScript, and AWS cloud

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
10+ years of software engineering, including system design and production support.
Hands-on full‑stack and cloud‑native development experience.
Experience building modern web apps with React (18+), TypeScript, and component frameworks like MUI.
Strong API design/integration (REST/GraphQL) and distributed systems.
Relational DBs, SQL optimization, and data modeling.
Experience with system architecture, CI/CD, testing, production support, debugging, and security‑first practices.
Ability to lead technical delivery, mentor engineers, review work, and coordinate vendors/integrators.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Lead architecture, development, and maintenance of secure, enterprise applications (C#/.NET + React/TypeScript).
Design and integrate connections across external APIs, internal systems, and vendor platforms.
Act as technical lead and contributor through implementation, testing, deployment, and production support.
Drive CI/CD excellence with automated testing and secure coding standards.
Review designs, code, tests, and deliverables for quality, security, and scalability.
Mentor engineers, perform code reviews, and maintain technical documentation.
Collaborate with Business Solution Engineers, QA, and stakeholders to ensure delivery.
Communicate complex concepts clearly to technical and non‑technical audiences.
