Job summary

Brooksource is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in the United States with strong experience in Java, React, Python, and Facets to support healthcare initiatives such as claims processing, payment modernization, and member engagement.

You will work with business stakeholders, product owners, and cross-functional teams to design, develop, and enhance applications impacting members, providers, and internal operations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in React.js, Python, PL SQL.
• Hands-on experience integrating with or supporting Facets payer platform solutions.
• Experience developing RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Strong understanding of healthcare payer operations, including Claims processing, Benefits administration, Membership and enrollment, Provider and vendor integrations.
• Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with cloud-based environments and modern DevOps practices.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack solutions using Java, React, and Python.
• Support enhancements and integrations related to Claims and payment processing changes.
• Manage pharmacy and vendor data requirements and clinical workflows.
• Lead member portal enhancements and modernization efforts.
• Develop and enhance APIs, microservices, and backend services that integrate with Facets and other enterprise healthcare platforms.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Ensure solutions adhere to healthcare security, compliance, and data governance standards.
• Participate in architecture reviews, technical design sessions, and solution planning.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues while improving system reliability and performance.
• Perform code reviews and promote engineering best practices across the team.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership on complex initiatives.
• Partner with QA teams to ensure thorough testing and successful production deployments.
