Job summary

CLEAR is building the secure identity platform of the future. As a Senior Software Engineer on the CLEAR1 team in New York, you will design and deliver secure, scalable fullstack solutions in Python, React, TypeScript, and AWS to integrate with national health information exchanges and EHRs.

You will work across engineering, security, and HIM to implement compliant, auditable workflows and patient matching, while collaborating with vendors to ensure production reliability and privacy.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of fullstack software engineering experience building scalable web applications and APIs.
• Experience with healthcare interoperability standards including FHIR REST/JSON and HL7 v2 messaging.
• Familiarity with TEFCA, QHINs, or Carequality.
• Experience integrating with enterprise EHR systems via web services.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver secure, scalable fullstack solutions that integrate with enterprise EHRs and health information exchanges.
• Build and maintain healthcare data integrations using FHIR and HL7 v2 messaging.
• Develop identity resolution and patient matching capabilities across clinical systems.
• Partner with Engineering, Security, Product, and HIM to implement compliant, audit-ready workflows.
• Collaborate with external vendors to troubleshoot integration issues and ensure production reliability.
