We seek a Senior Full Stack Engineer to design and deliver scalable proofs of concept and production systems across frontend and backend layers, partnering closely with product and design teams to create impactful solutions.

You will own substantial projects end-to-end, mentor engineers, and shape technical direction while advancing Datavant’s mission to improve health outcomes through secure data sharing.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience designing, building, and operating production software systems.
• Strong full-stack engineering experience with modern frontend and backend services.
• Experience building customer-facing apps using React, TypeScript, and modern web frameworks.
• Experience designing scalable APIs, distributed systems, and cloud-native apps.
• Ability to write high-quality, maintainable code and drive engineering best practices.
• Led projects from concept to production with effective cross-functional collaboration.
• Mentoring others and elevating the team's technical capabilities.
• Passion for Datavant's mission to connect health data and improve patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain full-stack applications powering Datavant's healthcare data ecosystem.
• Deliver exceptional UX by partnering with product managers, designers, and engineers.
• Develop scalable frontend, backend services, APIs, and data-driven solutions for millions of records.
• Guide architectural decisions to enable long-term scalability and maintainability.
• Mentor engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence and ownership.
• Own major projects end-to-end from design through deployment and operation.
• Drive innovation and deliver value for healthcare organizations and patients.
• Share expertise via technical discussions, mentorship, and engineering blog contributions.
