Job summary

Planet is seeking a full-time, remote US-based Senior Full-Stack Engineer to build robust systems and integrate with federal partners. You will own the end-to-end engineering lifecycle for a global monitoring application, champion scalable backend and frontend architectures, and deliver features that enable rapid access to geospatial datasets.

The role requires 6-8 years of experience, proficiency in Golang, Python, PostgreSQL, React, and IaC, plus experience with cloud and monitoring tools.

Qualifications

• 6-8 years industry experience.
• Fluency in Golang, Python, & Postgresql or related technologies.
• Full stack application development experience (Database, Services, Web).
• Experience building frontend applications in React.
• Experience with maintaining infrastructure-in-code.
• Experience with logging, alerting, and monitoring tools to support system quality.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the entire engineering lifecycle, from concept to implementation.
• Ownership of the quality and availability of mission systems.
• Contribute to the improvement of our architecture, infrastructure, and processes.
• Spearhead the design and development of scalable backend services and frontend applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate complex customer requirements into seamless features.
