Job summary

Planet designs, builds, and operates the largest constellation of imaging satellites in history. We are seeking a full-stack software engineer to build robust systems and integrate with our key federal partners, crafting a next-generation global monitoring application that enables rapid access to geospatial datasets.

You will champion scalable architecture across backend services, frontend applications, and data solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of industry experience
• Fluency in Golang, Python and PostgreSQL
• Frontend experience with React
• Infrastructure-as-code and cloud (AWS/GCP) experience
• Logging, alerting and monitoring experience
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly
• Geospatial data experience
• Export-controlled information access capability
