Job summary

Asurion is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for our Fraud Technology team in a hybrid role based in Nashville, TN (strongly preferred) or Sterling, VA. You will design and deliver secure, scalable full-stack features, partnering with product managers, designers, and engineers to shape architecture and code quality.

You will work across React/TypeScript, Java or Node.js, SQL/NoSQL, AWS, CI/CD, and observability, with an emphasis on secure coding practices and AI-enabled workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Three+ years building modern web applications and back-end systems with production ownership.
• Strong CS fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, OOP/functional design.
• Experience in modern agile software development with Git-based workflows.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, React/Redux, ES6; RESTful services with Java/Node.js.
• Experience with automated testing using frameworks such as Jest, Mocha, Jasmine, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, test, and deliver scalable full-stack features and services.
• Lead API design and technical approaches for complex features across UI, services, data, and cloud infrastructure.
• Own technical delivery for a component or feature area with clear plans.
• Write high-quality, well-tested code and mentor peers.
• Improve deployment guardrails and production readiness across release workflows.
• Drive system design decisions focused on scalability, reliability, and security.
• Strengthen observability and fix production issues with root-cause analysis.
