Job summary

Proofpoint, a global leader in cybersecurity, is hiring a software engineer to own and operate the Threat Intelligence Services platform. You will build APIs, dashboards, and a CMS-backed portal, collaborating with analysts to automate workflows and deliver scalable intelligence.

You’ll work across AWS, React/Node.js, Python, and data stores like PostgreSQL and ElasticSearch, delivering reliable tools with minimal supervision in a fast-growing environment.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Hands-on AWS administration EC2, Lambda, storage, networking, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• API development and integration experience; AWS API Gateway preferred.
• Front-end development with React and Node.js, ideally including Fuse.
• Proficiency in Python.
• SQL and relational database experience, preferably PostgreSQL.
• Ability to learn new systems and domains quickly and work independently across the full stack infrastructure, backend, and front-end.

Responsibilities

• Administer and troubleshoot the team's AWS environment.
• Design and build APIs and integrations using AWS API Gateway.
• Develop and deploy the web front-ends for analysts using React/Node.js (Fuse).
• Maintain and enhance the headless CMS-based threat intel portal and databases (PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch).
• Write Python services (FastAPI) for data processing and automation.
• Model and query data across PostgreSQL and ElasticSearch; support CMS workflows.
• Partner with analysts to automate manual tasks and deliver reliable software.
• Ensure platform security, observability, and documentation.
