Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to drive analysis, design, implementation and testing across cutting-edge assessment platforms. You will contribute to mission-critical applications in a fast-paced, collaborative team using startup-like practices.

You will work on AWS-hosted services, leverage AI tools and LLMS, and participate in design reviews, deployments, and quality initiatives to ensure high performance and reliability for Pearson’s education technology customers.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent technology discipline.
Experience with development, maintenance, and testing of software following industry best practices.
Experience with highly available, highly concurrent web-based applications.
Experience working in an agile environment.
Experience with cloud AWS hosted applications.
Experience with a range of AI tools and LLMs.

Responsibilities

Analyze & Design: create design models from requirements.
Implement & Perform: follow Pearson coding standards and best practices.
Review: participate in requirements, design and code reviews.
Test & Deployment: collaborate with QA and operations to release high-quality software; write unit tests.
Quality/process improvement: participate in initiatives to improve process and product quality.
