Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to design, implement, and maintain cutting-edge assessment platforms. You will work on cloud hosted applications, collaborating with QA and other teams, delivering high-quality code, and supporting mission-critical systems.

The role emphasizes quality, performance, and scalable architecture in a fast-paced environment. Strong knowledge of AWS, AI tools, and agile practices is expected, with opportunities to influence product direction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent technology discipline.
• Experience with development, maintenance, and testing of software following industry best practices.
• Experience with highly available, highly concurrent web-based applications.
• Experience with Cloud AWS hosted applications.
• Experience working in an agile environment.
• Experience with a range of AI tools and LLMs.

Responsibilities

• Analyze & Design - Ensure business and requirements artifacts are created that effectively model the customer's requirements.
• Implement & Perform - Implement designs following Pearson coding standards and industry best practices
• Review - Participate in requirements, design and code reviews
• Test & Deployment - Work with QA and other teams to release high quality software and write unit tests
• Quality/process improvement - Participate in group improvement activities to improve process and product quality
