Job summary

Govra is seeking a Senior or Staff Software Engineer in San Francisco, CA, to help build and scale intelligent operating systems for governments. The ideal candidate will work closely with founders and product teams, developing systems that automate government processes and improve user experiences.

With at least 5 years in software engineering and substantial experience in Elixir, you will be responsible for architecting and implementing key platform features while navigating a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with 2+ years in a senior role.
• Experience with Phoenix Liveview (Elixir) code base.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, RAG, vector DBs.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, architect, and implement features for our platform.
• Develop systems for automating complex government workflows.
• Ship production code quickly while ensuring reliability.
