Govra is hiring a Senior/Staff Software Engineer to build Govra's intelligent operating system for governments from SF. You will work with founders, customers, and design teams to ship vital systems in a fast-moving, high-impact environment.

You will design, implement, and scale features across our platform, evolve our infra, and improve government workflows with a strong focus on UX and reliability. Equity and health coverage are offered.

Formación

• Must have 10+ years of software engineering experience including staff-level work.
• Experience with Phoenix Liveview (Elixir) or deep related expertise.
• Hands-on with LLMs, RAG, vector databases and evals beyond API usage.
• Startup experience and ability to scale early products to production.
• Ability to design intuitive UXs independently while collaborating on complex flows.
• Proactive in gathering user feedback and translating it into product improvements.
• Willing to spend two weeks per quarter in person with customers.
• Curious about making government work better; thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.

Responsabilidades

• Build core product systems across Govra's platform by designing, architecting and implementing features.
• Design and improve government workflows to automate complex processes into intuitive software.
• Move quickly to ship production code while balancing reliability and observability.
• Evolve engineering infrastructure including GCP, Terraform, CI/CD, and deployment automation.
• Develop and refine Claude Code setup, AGENTS.md, custom skills, and internal tooling.
• Scope work, estimate effort, communicate tradeoffs and progress, and own the systems you build.
