Job summary

Whip Media seeks a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain mission-critical web software for major studios and networks. Work across Go services on Helix and migrate existing Java/Spring code, while crafting frontend interfaces for data-dense results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS/Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of software design and development experience in Java.
• Experience with Spring components: Boot, Security, Data, REST.
• Front-end experience with a modern framework (Vue/React).
• Experience with SQL data modeling, PostgreSQL, and query tuning at scale.
• Experience with AWS APIs/services (S3, Lambda, SNS, SQS).
• Experience with Python scripting and event-driven architecture (Kafka/Kinesis).
• Hands-on AI tooling experience: agents/LLMs, or building features against LLM APIs.

Responsibilities

• Design and write new APIs and data processing code in Java or Python.
• Build front-end features for data-dense interfaces.
• Create data models to handle increasing data volume.
• Devise algorithms for data synchronization across distributed systems.
• Design and implement ETL processes with various data sources.
• Own features end-to-end from requirements to deployment and support.
• Use AI tooling as part of development workflow and set best practices.
