Job summary

Whip Media is hiring a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain mission-critical web-based software for major studios and networks. Work spans Go on Helix, Java/Spring in production, and front-end features for data-dense interfaces.

You will contribute to AI-powered features and data-driven product development in a fast-paced environment. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, design ETL processes, mentor engineers, and help set best practices for

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with software design and development in Java.
• Experience with Spring and core Spring components (Boot, Security, Data, Data REST).
• Front-end experience with a modern component framework (Vue, React, or similar).
• Experience with SQL data modeling, PostgreSQL, and scale tuning.
• Experience with AWS APIs/services (S3, Lambda, SNS, SQS).
• Experience with Python scripting.
• Experience with event-driven architecture and messaging (Kafka, Kinesis, SNS/SQS).
• Hands-on experience with AI tooling and LLM APIs.

Responsibilities

• Design and write new APIs and data processing code in Java or Python.
• Build front-end features for data-dense interfaces.
• Create new data models to handle increasing data volume.
• Devise algorithms for data synchronization across distributed systems.
• Design and implement ETL processes integrating diverse data sources.
• Own features end-to-end from requirements to deployment and support.
• Use AI tooling as a core part of development workflow.
• Write technical requirements and design documents.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on new platforms and tools.
• Mentor other engineers.
