Job summary

Allstate Insurance Co. is seeking a hands-on Full Stack Developer to design, build, and maintain enterprise applications and integrations. You will work across backend, frontend, and integration layers, delivering secure, scalable solutions in a large-scale environment with governance and security standards.

The role emphasizes collaboration with architecture and platform teams, agile practices, and modern technologies including React, Java/Spring Boot, Python, and cloud-native tooling.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional experience in full-stack development.
• Strong hands-on React with TypeScript/JavaScript; Java/Spring Boot/Python.
• Hands-on experience building chatbot UI features in production.
• Understanding of microservices and cloud-native principles.
• Experience with Docker & Kubernetes.
• Relational and/or NoSQL databases (MS SQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DocumentDB).
• RESTful API design and integration.
• Cloud platforms (Azure preferred; AWS acceptable).
• Messaging systems (Kafka, Azure Service Bus/Event Hubs) is a plus.
• Familiarity with enterprise security, compliance, and operational best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy full-stack features using React, Java/Spring Boot, and Python.
• Develop responsive UI components and RESTful APIs.
• Build and maintain secure, scalable backend microservices and integrations.
• Develop and enhance chatbot UIs and conversational features.
• Collaborate in agile ceremonies with product owners, engineers, and architects.
• Ensure code quality through unit/integration tests and reviews.
